He sat upright, his hands resting calmly on the table. In front of him, on a sheet of paper, a bold red \u201c100\u201d was written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The teacher stood over him, holding the paper, her gaze sharp and skeptical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho helped you with this test?\u201d she asked coldly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boy slowly lifted his head. His eyes were dark\u2026 but calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo one. I did everything myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A murmur spread across the room. Some looked at the boy in shock, others at the teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But no one was more shocked than her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her eyes filled with disbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boy sat calmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

as her son\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her breath caught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWait\u2026\u201d she whispered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boy slowly looked at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their eyes met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then, very calmly, he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou still don\u2019t understand, do you\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one in the classroom understood what was happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man who brought the test stood silently, watching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
